I am in love. I have died and gone to hand dyed yarn heaven. Last week I received my first custom order of Olive & Emma – designer yarns, in pink, turquoise & deep blue. They are just what I was wanting as I have special plans for them.
I had been thinking for a while on my next colour selection for my pop socks, as I’m wanting colours that will work well together. Finally I settled on these 3 colours. I was put on to the lovely Olive & Emma by a friend. From my first visit to her page I knew I was going to be in trouble. Such bright and vibrant colours, as well as so much to choose from. I really could have gone over board but I’m sure the husband would not be impressed with that.
The sock yarn is so easy to crochet and smells divine. Which is something you never get with other yarn, a smell. It reminds me of something or someone but I can’t put my finger on it. But oh how I love it. Mr Ben loved opening the brown paper packages tied up with string. Yes no kidding they are, just like the song. I’m a sound of music fan so I very amused by that. Mr Ben is learning to count so he tries to steel my skeins, then you here “one, four”. He thinks they are for him and him alone, so cute.
I’ve also got some of Olive & Emma superwash 8ply in rose pink. But that is all mine, well Emma’s. She is getting a new beanie or 2 and hopefully a Katniss tunic.
So I have made 2 pairs of pop sock so far. A new strawberry pop for Emma and a stripy lolly pop in blue and turquoise. All my stripy pop socks will be called lolly pop at the stage. Unless I come up with other names that are just as good. I will be able to make combinations for the 3 different colours , including all 3 if people want. I can do custom orders in the size you want, needing the foot length measurement. At this stage I will only be making my pop socks for little feet and not adults, so sorry about that.
Thanks for everyone’s wonderful comments and support. 🙂
